This center focuses its study on the interaction between microbes and their environments, such as how microbes adapt to environmental changes and how they evolve new metabolic pathways. It is also interested in the development of new biotechnology for improving environmental quality, e.g., use of effective microorganisms (EM) in pollution treatment. |
