The CAS Key Laboratory (KLSML) was established in 1985. Based on the rich fungal resources in China, research is focused on fungal biodiversity, systematics, phylogeny and evolution. In order to provide essential information for exploitation and utilization of fungal resources, the Laboratory is also interested in screening and exploitation of fungal metabolites, structure and functions of fungal community in ecosystem, as well as fungal genetics and molecular biology.
