Chinese Society for Microbiology（CSM）
Founded in 1952, it is one of the branch societies of China Association for Science and Technology, and is also a member of IUMS. The society currently has more than 13,000 members. Academic activities of the society involve many fields, including industry, agriculture, medicine, environmental protection and national defense etc. The headquarter of the society is located in the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Science and includes 5 working councils and 17 special councils. The society publishes seven journals including Acta Microbiology Sinica. It also organizes more than 10 academic meetings each year, for example, the Annual Meetings of Chinese Society for Microbiology, which are large scale comprehensive academic meetings. The society is dedicated to serving for the social and economic development of China and promoting international communications and exchanges. Its academic commitment and contribution are increasingly recognized by the international scientific community.
